Base Camp – Climbing Towers
Base Camp, located in George Bancroft Park on Stansfield Street, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY1 6JA, was a key project in Blackpool’s major regeneration initiative, ReBlackpool. The initiative aimed to transform the central corridor with world-class facilities that would cater to the leisure market while improving the town’s economy and benefiting its residents. Starr Gate Tram Depot
The Starr Gate Tram Depot is a key part of Blackpool’s modern tram system. It opened in 2012 when the tramway got a major upgrade, bringing in modern light rail vehicles and improved facilities. It’s located at the southern end of the tramway near Starr Gate, by the coast close to where Blackpool meets St. Annes. Blowing Sands Cottage
The actual year that the Blowing Sands was built is unknown, but it’s shown here as 1750 as the cottage is strictly referred to as an ’18th century’ build. It is known as Blackpool’s oldest historic ‘sloping cottage’, which is still standing at 166 Common Edge Road, but it’s been on the market for a while since this post was written.
